Conner, Ocie Marshall

Mrs. Ocie Marshall Conner, age 99, formerly of Willis, VA, passed away on Tuesday December 9, 2008 at Friendship Manor Convalescent Center, Roanoke, VA. She previously resided in Portsmouth, VA. Born in Willis, VA on July 29, 1909 to the late Emma Harman Marshall and Crockett A. Marshall.

She was preceded in death in 1985 by her husband John G. Conner of 57 years, and brothers; Lanan, Maynard, and Luther Marshall. She is survived by: Her sister Neva Marshall Johnson of Roanoke, VA and Numerous nieces and nephews, including Sandra Johnson Glass, her longtime caregiver.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday, December 12, 2008 at Maberry Funeral Home, Floyd, with Rev. Ralph Duncan officiating. Interment to follow at Topeco Cemetery. Family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the funeral.
