Comer, Jeannette Brown

Mary Jeannette Comer, age 73, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 11, 2025. Born in Annapolis, Maryland, on September 6, 1951, to Gilbert and Madeline Brown, Jeannette lived a life full of love, creativity, and entrepreneurial spirit.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Steven Comer, and her three loving children: Sherry Ann Linders, David Aaron Tingley, and Andrew Dennis Makowske. Jeannette was a cherished mother, wife, and friend who touched the lives of many with her kindness and warmth.

Jeannette was also a proud grandmother to Cameron Mease, Colton Mease, Emerson Tingley, and Violet Makowske. Her grandchildren brought immense joy to her life, and she cherished every moment spent with them.

Jeannette had a passion for gardening, watercolor painting, bird watching, and collecting antiques and collectibles. She also had a deep love for golden retrievers and horses, which brought her great happiness and companionship. Her artistic talents and keen eye for beauty brought joy to those around her. As a successful entrepreneur, she founded and managed several businesses, leaving a lasting legacy in her community.

Jeannette’s memory will be forever cherished by her family and friends. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

A celebration of Jeannette’s life will be held at Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home in Peterstown, WV, on Friday, February 14, 2025, at 2:00 PM. She will be laid to rest at Pine Grove Memorial Gardens, Lindside, WV. Visitation will be held from 12:00PM until time of services on Friday at the funeral home.
