Comer, Golden Gaye

comer golden gayeGolden Gaye (Goldie) Comer, 82, of Blacksburg, died Tuesday, July 9, 2013, at Lewis Gale Hospital- Montgomery after suffering complications from a stroke. She was born in Spruce Run on March 29, 1931, to the late Charlie Vaught and Ina Graham Price. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Dick Comer. While she lived, she always make everyone feel welcome in her home. May she now be welcomed by loved ones who passed before her and have eternal rest in the arms of God.

She is survived by her three sons and daughters-in-law, Dale and Ellen Brumfield, of Colorado Springs, Colo., Allen and Tracy Brumfield, of Panama City, Fla., and Timmy and Freda Comer, of Shawsville; her daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Anthony Robertson, of Pearisburg; seven grandchildren; three great- grandchildren; two sisters, Ruth Long, of Panama City, Fla., and Phyllis Price, of Tequesta, Fla.; a brother and sister-in-law, Glenn and Belle Vaught, of Syracuse, N.Y.; and numerous nieces and nephews. Our thanks to the 2nd floor doctors and staff of Lewis Gale Montgomery for their compassionate care of her and her family. A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, July 11, 2013, at 11 a.m. in the Zack Price/James R. Long Memorial Cemetery, Prices Fork with the Rev. Gary Poff officiating.
