Comer, David Allan

David Allan Comer, 54, of Christiansburg, passed away on November 10, 2021. He was a very devoted husband and father – his family was his life.

David loved to be outdoors, hunting or fishing and he enjoyed coaching a lot of sports. He also had a special place in his heart for his Moog family. David also served in the Army National Guard.

David was preceded in death by his father, Carl Gordon Comer; brother, Steve Carder; father-in-law, James Tackett; and special friend, Walter Simpkins. He is survived by his wife, Amy Comer; sons, Zach Comer and Jacob Comer; daughter, Taylor Matlick; mother, Joan Comer; siblings, Ron Carder, Ricky Carder, Kenny Comer, Tom Comer, and Carolyn Phares. He will be missed by his special niece and nephew, Brianna Crowder, Chelsea Lovern, Trevor Comer; sister-in-law, Jami Lovern (Kenny); as well as special friends, David Dove and Rick Atkins.

Visitation will be Saturday, November 13, 2021, from 5-7 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home.
