Collins, Thomas

Thomas Collins, 63, of Blacksburg, died Monday, December 31, 2012, at Lewis Gale Hospital-Montgomery. He was born in Blacksburg, on February 3, 1949, to the late Charles Sidney and Georgia Ann Trussell Collins.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Roy Collins, and sisters, Berta Price, Shirley Wiley, Kathleen Collins and Lillian Lee Collins.

He is survived by his sisters and brothers-in-law, Elizabeth Alexander, of Christiansburg Mary Ann Dean, Margaret and Claude Shabazz, all of Radford, Edith Collins and Georgia Bonner, all of Blacksburg; brothers and sister-in-law, Bill Collins, Charles and Maxine Collins, all of Christiansburg; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Friday, January 4, 2013, in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Leslie Dean officiating. Interment will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday at the McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Coutry Club Drive, SW, Blacksburg.
