Collins, Pamela Kay
Pamela Kay Kirk Collins, 44, of Christiansburg, passed away Friday, July 13, 2007 at MCV Hospital in Richmond, after a long illness.
Born September 4, 1962, in Giles county, she is survived by her husband, Melvin Junior Collins; her two sons, Duran Collins and Zackary Collins; her mother, Elizabeth Joan Kirk of Pulaski; her father and stepmother, Harold Gene and Phyllis Kirk of Dublin; a sister, Starlet Elkins of Floyd; her brother, Calvin Kirk and sister-in-law, Lease Kirk of Christiansburg; her grandmother, Grace Pass of Dublin and her nieces and nephews, Eleshia Elkins, Cameron Elkins, Floyd, Brooke, Shaylee and Sierra Kirk, all of Christiansburg; her stepbrother and wife, Wesley and Kim Vest of Dublin; stepsisters and husbands, Robin and Terry Gallimore of Dublin, Anna and Perry Wade of Christiansburg and Lebreska and James Whitaker of Hardy; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to help offset expenses, to The Medical Charities of Floyd, 100 East Main Street, Room 108, Floyd, VA 24091, “In Memory of Pam Collins”.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m., Monday, at the Horne Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, July 17, in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Richard Gregory, the Rev. Bill Handy and the Rev. J.P. Hale. Per her request, cremation will follow the services.
