Collins, Judith Caldwell

Judith Joan (Nanny) Collins, 72, of Long Shop, Va., died on Sunday, October 24, 2010. She was born in Blacksburg, Va., on September 22, 1938, to the late William Frank and Eliza Caldwell. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Billy Collins Sr.; son, Jeffery Collins; and grandson, Derick Windle.

She is survived by her daughter and son-inlaw, Donna and Leroy Johnson, of Flowery Branch, Ga.; sons and daughter-in-law, Billy Collins, of Louisa, Ky., Michael Collins, of Draper, Va., and Mitchell and Wanda Collins, of Pulaski, Va.; sisters, Shirley Sheppard, of Long Shop, and Mary Francis Dickerson, of Blacksburg; brother and sister-in-law, Saford and Elsie Caldwell, of Long Shop; 15 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be conducted 11 a.m. on Thursday, October 28, 2010, in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jube Burk officiating. Interment will follow in the Harless Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday evening, October 27, 2010, at the McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Drive, SW, Blacksburg, Va., 540-552-3211.
