Colley, Clara Arwood

Clara Arwood Colley, 88, formerly of Pearisburg, went to be with her husband, Walter and son, Jim Jr., in Heaven on Thursday, April 18, 2013, at Richfield Recovery and Care Center in Salem. She was born in Giles County on August 21, 1924, and was the daughter of the late John Waller and Victoria Elizabeth Parcell Arwood. In addition to her mother and father, she was preceded in death by a brother, Roy; and a half brother, Houston. While living in Pearisburg, she was a longtime member of the Pearisburg Baptist Church. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter and son-in- law, Leketa and David White; and granddaughter, Amy Lucas, all of Roanoke; a daughter-in-law, Mary Colley, of Fairlawn; a special nephew, Chuck Parcell and wife, Sande, of Graham, N.C.; numerous relatives; and her special friends in Pearisburg. A Graveside Service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 21, 2013, at Angels Rest Cemetery near Narrows.
