Cole, Roger Merle

Roger Merle Cole, 61, of Narrows, passed away Friday, January 27, 2012. The son to the late Cloris and Mae Cole, he was also preceded in death by his sister, Sylvia Cole and his brother, Ardie Cole. He is survived by his wife, Blendia Cole; sons and daughter-in-law, Roger Ray and Julia Cole; and granddaughter, Kristen Cole; son and daughter-in-law, Rodney and Debbie Cole; his stepmother, Joyce Cole; sisters, Sharon Markham, Debbie and husband, Danny, Andrew; Kathy and Paul Hinkle; and his brother, Harold Hamilton. He is also survived by his special aunt and uncle, Janie and Sam Morgan; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He leaves behind three precious four legged babies, Shelly, Snowball and Patches. The family will receive friends at The Horne Funeral Home in Christiansburg on Monday, January 30, 2012 from 10 until 11 a.m. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ray Kingrea officiating. Interment will follow in Huffville Cemetery, Floyd. In lieu of flowers, the family requests any contributions be made to the Humane Society.
