Cole, Gene Wesley

Gene Wesley Cole, age 61, of Radford died, Monday, May 2, 2016, at New River Valley Medical Center. He was born in Christiansburg, Va. on September 3, 1954 to the late Daily and Lucy Austin Vaught Cole.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Roger Dale Cole. He retired from Virginia Tech after over 30 years of service. He is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Rita and Norman Morris, Christiansburg, brothers and sisters-in-law, Haven and Suzie Cole, Marshall and Darlene Cole, Doyle and Linda Vaught, all of Christiansburg, Martin Vaught, Blacksburg, several nieces and nephews, special friend, Barbara Alls.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at 7:00 pm in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Everett Shepherd officiating. The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 pm Wednesday evening at the McCoy Funeral Home 150 Country Club Dr. SW, Blacksburg.
