Cogar, Irene Nowlin Taylor

Irene Nowlin Taylor Cogar, 88, of Narrows passed away Sunday, February 22nd, 2009 at Pulaski Health and Rehab Center.

She was born in Bland County on March 21st, 1920 and was the daughter of the late Sherman and Virgie Radford Nowlin. In addition to her mother and father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Wayne Taylor; and two brothers, Harold Nowlin and Albert Nowlin.

She is survived by two sons, Lloyd Taylor of Fredericksburg, Virginia and Jerry Taylor and wife Lynn of Dayton, Tennessee; two daughters Billie Hare of Pulaski and Linda Parah and husband Armand of Radford; ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 26th, 2009 at 2 PM in the Chapel of Riffe’s Funeral Service in Narrows with Rev. Randy Morris officiating. Burial will follow in Morning Star Cemetery in Bland. The family will receive friends at Riffe’s Funeral Service Thursday from 12 noon until just prior to the service.
