Cofer, Frances Archer Warriner

Frances Archer Warriner Cofer, 89, of Marietta, Georgia, formerly of Blacksburg, Virginia died Wednesday, July 25, 2007.

Mrs. Cofer, a resident of Marietta since 2003, moved from Blacksburg, Virginia where she had resided for forty years. Mrs. Cofer attended Longwood College and earned her BS degree from Virginia Tech. She taught Elementary School in Montgomery County, Va. and retired in 1985. She was a member of DAR, Colonial Dames, University Women’s Club, Omicron Delta Epsilon honorary society and the Artist’s Guild as well as being a hospital volunteer while in Blacksburg.

Husband John Wheat Cofer of Bedford, Va. preceded her in death. Survivors are, sister, Anne Warriner Holberton of Blacksburg; daughters, Anne Cofer Aaron and Carolyn Cofer Bain; niece, Anne Holberton Hassall of Blacksburg; granddaughters, Carolyn Aaron Stille and Virginia Elizabeth Bain and great-niece, Anne Clyde Hassall; grandsons, William Henry Aaron and Benjamin Arnold Aaron and four great-grandchildren.

A memorial Evening Prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. Monday evening, July 30,2007 in the Chapel of Holy Innocents’ Episcopal Church in Sandy Springs with the Reverend Jackie Watt officiating.
