Cody, Kathy Joann

Kathy Joann Cody, age 62, passed away on Monday, April 18, 2022, at the Princeton Community Hospital in Princeton, WV. Born July 22, 1959, in Summers County, WV, she was the daughter of the late Ervin T. Cody and Anna Marie Johnson.

Kathy was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister. She was a homemaker who loved playing bingo and enjoyed dancing. She will be dearly missed by all those that knew her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Stephanie Cody; one sister, Joan Wickline; and one brother, Sebert Cody. Survivors include two sons, Benjamin Massie of Peterstown, WV, and Anthony Sevy and wife Kelly of Lindside, WV; one daughter, Becky Long and husband Anthony of Peterstown, WV; one brother, Richard Cody of Peterstown, WV; two sisters, Teresa Cody of Peterstown, WV, and Brenda Knapp and husband Basil of Greensboro, NC; nine grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM on Thursday, April 21, 2022, at the Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home Chapel in Peterstown, WV, with Pastor Terry Utterback officiating. Burial will follow at the New Hope Cemetery in Marie, WV. Visitation will be held from 10:00AM until time of services on Thursday at the funeral home.
