Cody, Ervin Thomas

Ervin Thomas Cody, age 85, of Peterstown, WV, passed away on Sunday, June 3, 2018, at Princeton Community Hospital in Princeton, WV. Born March 18, 1933, in Monroe County, WV, he was the son of the late James Earl and Georgia Janie Bishop Cody.

Ervin was of the Baptist Faith. He was a custodian at Virginia Tech and drove a taxi for Ronceverte City Cab Company for several years.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Richardeen Joan Cody; one son, Severt Cody; one granddaughter, Stephanie Cody; four brothers; and one sister.

Survivors include his wife, Rose Turner Cody; one son, Richard Cody and wife Janie M. of Peterstown, WV; three daughters, Brenda Knapp and husband Basil, and Teresa Cody, all of Pilot Mt., NC, and Kathy Dunn of Alderson, WV; one brother, Donald Cody of Marie, WV; one step-son, Richie Turner of Beckley, WV; one step-daughter, Nicole Presgraves and husband L.J. of Beckley, WV; 12 grandchildren; and 20 great grandchildren.
