Cochran, Gerald Elwood

Gerald Elwood Cochran, 76, formerly of Floyd, Virginia, died July 20, 2008 in Idaho following a long illness. He was born February 22, 1932 in Roanoke to the late Dewey Lee and Stella Pratt Cochran.

He is survived by: two daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda and Mark O’Borsky of Castaic, CA, Donna and Craig Erickson of Post Falls, ID; sons and daughter-in-0law, Darrell and Kim Cochran of Portland, OR and Duane Cochran of Portland, OR and Duane Cochran of Coeur d’ Alene, ID; sister, Genevieve Starkey of Floyd; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; three nieces and several cousins who were all special to him.

A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 27, 2009, at Wood Funeral Horne with the Rev. Richard Thomas officiating. Military Rites will follow at the VFW Post #7854 and American Legion Post #127 at the VFW Post Home. Arrangements by Wood Funeral Home in Floyd, Va.
