She is survived by her husband of 59 years, James S. Cobb, of Floyd, Va.; and her four daughters, Amy (the Rev. Harrel B.) Johnson, of Warrenton, N.C., Betsy Cobb, of Charlotte, N.C., Lisa (Barry) Weddle, of Farmington, Maine, and Julie (Jeffrey) Puuri, of Roanoke, Va. She is also survived by five grandchildren, James (Robin) and Daniel Johnson, Joshua and Erin Weddle, and Carl Puuri; and two greatgrandchildren, Cooper and Wyatt Johnson. A Memorial Service will be held at Floyd United Methodist Church in Floyd, Va., on Saturday, June 25, 2011, at 2 p.m. in the afternoon. Bev was a talented musician and gifted fiber artist. She gave generously of her time and worked with arts programs in every community she lived in. She was a strong supporter of several programs at the Jesse Peterman Memorial Library in Floyd. In lieu of flowers, the family sincerely requests donations be made in Bev’s honor to either the Floyd Friends of the Library Fund, 321 West Main St., Floyd, VA 24091, or to the National Alzheimer’s Association (alz.org).
