Clyburn, Patsy Dent

Patsy Dent Clyburn, 82 of Rich Creek, passed away Tuesday, August 23rd, 2016. She was born in Glen Lyn on August 19th, 1934, and was the daughter of the late Estell (Mike) and Myrtle Thompson Dent.

In addition to her mother and father, she was preceded in death by her former husband and very good friend, Bobby Clyburn; two sisters, Jean Dent and Billie Dent; a brother, Jack Dent; and a granddaughter, Adrienne Lea Broyles.

Patsy was a longtime member of Glen Lyn Baptist Church. She loved to crochet, cook and read. A loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, she will be dearly missed by her family and many friends.

Left to cherish her memory are a daughter, Stephanie Broyles and husband Johnny of Ballard, West Virginia; a son, Eric Clyburn and wife Diane of Glen Lyn; five grandchildren, Virgil Broyles, Andrew Clyburn, Melanie Pyne, Robbie Pyne, Shannon Pyne; seven great-grandchildren, Wyatt Clyburn, Samantha Clyburn, Hannah Pyne, Colton Pyne, Hunter Plumley, Chase Mullins, Shyanne Plumley; two sisters, Mary Frances Dent, and Betty Dent Whitlow, both of Peterstown; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many special friends, including her canine companion, Oscar (Chunky).

Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 27th, 2016 at 2 PM in the Chapel of Riffe’s Funeral Service in Narrows with Pastor Jerry Rice officiating. Burial will follow in the Peterstown Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Riffe’s Funeral Chapel Saturday from 12 noon until just prior to the service.
