Clyburn, Claude Osborn

Claude Osborn Clyburn, age 90, of Blacksburg, passed away on June 4, 2019. He was born on December 17, 1928 to the late Floyd and Nora May Vaught Clyburn.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Annie Hight; second wife, Edith Mae Bolt Carter Clyburn; daughter, Brenda Mae Clyburn; stepchildren, Jeffrey Thomas Carter, Kenneth Wade Carter, Deborah Sue Duty and Jack Lee Carter.

He is survived by his daughters, Lois Covey of Blacksburg, Wanda Sue Smith of Dublin; son, Claude Edward Clyburn of Salem; stepchildren, Gary Neil Carter, David Bruce Carter, Jerry Howard Carter all of Blacksburg, Sylvester Carter Thomas, Jr. of Bassett.

Claude was a wonderful father and friend as well as a talented musician. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew him.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2019 at 2 p.m. at Fairview Community Church, Blacksburg.
