Clower, Marie Akers

Elsie Marie Clower, 96 of Shawsville, went to be with her Lord on June 27, 2023. She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Elsie Akers; husband, Warren ‘Howard’ Clower; siblings, Sylvia Akers, Sonny Akers; and son-in-law, Roger Maxey.

Marie is survived by her daughter, Margaret Maxey; grandsons, Bo Maxey and wife Tammy, Tony Maxey and wife Melissa; great-grandchild, Isaac Maxey; sisters, Roselee Musselman (Curtis), Earline Smith; sister-in-law, Betty Akers; as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was a lifelong member of Shawsville Congregational Holiness Church. Marie loved her Lord and her church and enjoyed cooking for the youth camps. She retired after 32 years from Meadowbrook Nursing Home.

Visitation will be Saturday, July 1, 2023, from noon to 1 p.m. at Shawsville Congregational Holiness Church. Funeral Services begin at 1 p.m. with Pastor Wes Conner officiating. Interment will follow in the Church cemetery.
The family would like to thank the nurses and aids at the Warm Hearth Kroontje Nursing Home for all the love and care that was given to her.
