Tracey Allen Clifton, 62, of French St., Pearisburg, departed this life Thursday evening, January 29, 2015, at his home in the love and care of his family and hospice. Tracey have fought a brave and courageous battle with cancer.

He was a 1972 graduate of Giles High School, was retired from Virginia Tech, and had later worked at Magic Mart Store in Pearisburg, and attended The First United Methodist Church in Narrows. Tracey was a veteran of the U S Navy. He was born on March 04, 1952 in Pearisburg, a son of the late Robert Glen Clifton and Martha Janney Earnest, and was preceded in death by his beloved wife Rowena Hager Clifton, his parents, and an infant son Matthew Allen Clifton.

He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted and caring daughters and sons-in-law Katy and Cody Balarzs of Narrows and Melanie and Ron Thorne of Pearisburg; his granddaughters Robyn Rowena Balarzs and Scarlett Brooke Thorne; his sisters and brothers-in-law Tammy and Bobby Ayers of NC, Kay Boskovic and John Goddin of Cleveland, Ohio, and Joyce Ann and Ed Gillespie of Pembroke; his sister-in-law Darlene Gusler of Pembroke, his brother-in-law Johnny Hager of Tazewell; and several loving nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, February 2, 2015 at 2:00 pm in The First United Methodist Church in Narrows with Pastor Jason Stubblefield and Pastor Eddie Kendall officiating. Burial will follow in Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg with military honor guard by American Legion Posts 145, 311, and 68 and VFW Post 6000. The family will receive friends at the church two hours before the services. The Kendall Funeral Home in Pembroke is in charge of the arrangements.
