Mary Susan Flint Clendenin, 83 of Narrows passed away Saturday, October 28th, 2006 at Riverview Nursing Home in Rich Creek.

She was born in Fayette County, West Virginia on February 10th, 1923 and was the daughter of the late Charles Lee Flint, Sr. and Doris Howell Flint. In addition to her mother and father, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Harvey Clendenin, Jr.; two sons, T.H. Clendenin and George A. Clendenin; and two brothers, James Flint and John Flint.

She was employed by the Giles County School System as a library aide at Narrows Elementary School. She will be remembered for all she gave to the children and young people of the community.

She is survived by a daughter, Sandra Fleeman of Euless, Texas; three sons, Frank Rombow of Mechanicsville, Virginia, James Rombow of Narrows, and Ronald Clendenin of Baltimore, Maryland; twelve grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; one brother Charles Lee Flint, Jr. of West Virginia; three sisters, Wilda Pauletta of Ohio, Rita Mitchell and Wanda Smallwood, both of Pennsylvania.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 1st at 11 AM in the Chapel of Riffe’s Funeral Service in Narrows with Pastor Jeff Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Narrows. The family will receive friends at Riffe’s Funeral Service Tuesday from 6 to 8 PM.
