Clements, Joyce Ann Childress

Joyce Ann Childress Clements, 73, of Salem, formerly Christiansburg, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 8, 2012. She was born October 17, 1938, a daughter of the late Paul and Nancy Pamplin Childress and had been an area resident all of her life. She enjoyed crocheting and fishing, and mostly enjoyed spending time and doting on her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Buddy Childress. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Dempsey and her husband, Mike; grandson, Paul Curtis Tyree and his companion, Christin Smith; two great-grandchildren, Dylan and Justin Tyree; a brother, Paul Childress and his wife, JoAnn; a sister, Nancy Marshall and her husband, Phillip; a sister-in-law, Diane Childress; and numerous nieces and nephews.
