Clemens, Clara Josephine
Clara Josephine Clemens, 89, of Pearisburg, departed this life on Wednesday evening, September 5, 2012, at Pulaski Health and Rehab Center in Pulaski. Born in Arista, W.Va., on March 20, 1923, she was a daughter of the late John Albert Sr. and Bessie Mae Worrell Bouldin. She had been employed at Federal Mogul and had attended Bethel Chapel Church. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Cecil Carr Blankenship and Paul Eugene Clemens; her son, Cecil Carl Blankenship; and her grandchildren, Carl Edward Blankenship and Stacy Dewayne Lovell. “Josie” leaves to cherish her memory her sons, Richard M. Blankenship, of Pearisburg, and David Scott Blankenship, of Millers Creek, N.C.; her daughters, Mary Joyce Minton (Archie), of Millers Creek, N.C., Lois Faye Perdue (Richard), of Pearisburg, Barbara Diane Young (Richard), of Dublin, and Virginia Diane Pennington (Tony), of Glen Lyn; her brother, Charles E. Bouldin, of Peterstown, W.Va.; her sisters, Bertha Martin, of Dublin, Loraine Hayes, of Pearisburg, Louise Brown, of Peterstown, W.Va., and Elizabeth Minton, of Narrows; her 11 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 8, 2012, in the Kendall Funeral Home, 605 Snidow St., Pembroke with burial following in Fairview Cemetery at Narrows.
