Clark, Octavia McGee

Mrs. Octavia Lucille McGee Clark, age 96, of Maple Street Dublin, passed away on Friday afternoon, September 16, 2016 at her residence. She was born in Carroll County, VA on September 14, 1920 as the daughter of the late Sebastian and Betty Grimes McGee.

She was a long-time member of Dublin United Methodist Church and a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Lester Clark and her son William M. Clark. She is survived by her daughter, Penny Nash and her husband, Robert Nash of Dublin; She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Rob Nash, Lesley McCarthy, Chad Nash, Casey Lowering, Michael Clark, Corianne Clark and Karen Clark, and a special niece, Irene Joyce Henrich. Also included are her beloved great grand-children; Declan McCarthy, Nash McCarthy, Megan Nash, Brett Nash and Emma Jolene Nash along with many nieces and nephews, and a great-niece Lilly Nave Henrich.

Octavia had many special family and friends; Evelyn Aust, Jan Harris, Glenna Jefferson, and Alfred McGee. She will be missed by all who knew her!

Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 19, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Seagle Funeral Home with the Rev. Don Hanshew and Rev. Richard Patterson officiating. Interment will follow in Thorn Spring Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday at the funeral home from 12 Noon until 2:00 p.m.
