Chumbley, Nancy McCoy

Nancy McCoy Chumbley, 83, of Elliston, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 17, 2011. She was born to Allen and Gladys McCoy from McCoy, Va., on July 14, 1927. She is preceded in death by her husband, Wesley David Chumbley Sr.; two sisters; and one brother.

Those left to cherish her memories are her son, David Chumbley Jr., of Radford, Va.; daughter, Gail Hooper, of Elliston, Va.; one granddaughter, Nicole Hooper; two grandsons, Jake and wife, Jennifer Chumbley, of Cleveland, Va., and Keith Chumbley, of Salem; four great-grandchildren, Morgan and Megan Chumbley, of Cleveland, Va., and RyLeigh and Addison Chumbley, of Salem, Va.; one brother and his wife, A.M. and Toby McCoy, of Roanoke; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family will receive visitors on Saturday, March 19, 2011, from 5 to 7 p.m. and on Sunday, March 20, 2011, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be held at Horne Funeral Chapel at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 21, 2011, with Pastor Wayne Powell officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Sunset Cemetery.
