Chambers, Helen Bell

Helen Bell Chambers, 83 of Woodbridge, died May 30, 2007 at Potomac Hospital after a long battle with cancer. Born March 4, 1924 in Narrows, Va., she was a daughter of the late William and Ettie Blankenship.

Helen was a loving and giving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and a great friend to many that will miss her.

Helen is survived by a daughter, Gwendolyn E. Dalton of Dale City, Va.; two sons, Ira D. Chambers, Jr. and Philip W. Chambers, both of Waynesboro, Penn.; six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Helen was preceded in death by her loving husband Ira D. Chambers, Sr., her beloved son William N. Chambers and all her brothers and sisters.

Helen was a long time member of the Glenlynn Church of Christ. Her family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. on Monday, June 4, 2007 at Mountcastle Funeral Home, 4143 Dale Boulevard, Dale City, VA 22193.

Funeral Service will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, June 4, 2007 at the Mountcastle Funeral Home. Her family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 6, 2007 at Riffe’s Funeral Service, Inc., 600 Main Street, Narrows, VA 22124.

Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 7, 2007 at the Riffe’s Funeral Service, Inc. with the interment to follow at the Peterstown Cemetery, Peterstown, VA.
