Cecil, Trelby Hunter
Trelby Hunter Cecil, 32, of Peterstown, W. Va., formerly of Narrows, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 1, 2008.
He was born in Princeton, West Virginia on November 23, 1975 and was the son of Clarence Washington Cecil, Jr. and Janice Rayman Cecil. He was preceded in death by a brother, Darren Jeffrey Cecil, grandparents, Ivan and Eleanor Rayman, and Clarence W. Cecil, Sr., and an uncle, Percell Cecil.
A 1993 graduate of Narrows High School, he served in Iraq with the U.S. Army during Operation Iraqi Freedom and was proud of his service to his country. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Narrows. A loving father and stepfather, he will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew him as a friend.
In addition to his mother and father, he is survived by his wife, Amy Wilson Cecil; a fiance, Tina Lester, of Peterstown; one son, Jacob Hunter Cecil; one daughter, Ivy Taylor Cecil; a great-grandmother, Chlorene Bailey Cecil; one brother, David Joseph Cecil; and one sister, Kimberly Marie Harman and husband, Dwayne, all of Narrows; aunts and uncles, Eloise and Rick Helms, of the Lurich community, Bill and Judy Harr of Raleigh, North Carolina, Joseph Leo Rayman of Savannah, Georgia, Rev. Tommy Rayman and wife, Linda, of Panama Beach, Florida; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, March 4, 2008 at 2 p.m. at Fairview Cemetery in Narrows. The family will receive friends at Riffe’s Funeral Service in Narrows Monday from 6 to 8 p.m.
