Shirley Pauline Frost Cecil, age 75 of Hiwassee ( Snowville Community) went home to be in God’s choir, Thursday, May 9, 2013. Born November 13, 1937 in Wythe County, she was the daughter of the late Fred Gilmer Frost and Nannie Belle Mahone Frost.

Her husband, Paul Early Cecil, son-in-law, Sammy Thornton, and sisters, Mary Taylor and Alma Patterson also preceded her in death.

She was a long time, faithful member of the Max Creek Baptist Church, Draper where she loved to sing in the church choir. She loved her flowers and her garden.

Surviving- Children- Joy Cecil Thornton-Snowville, Glenwood Delane Cecil and wife, Anita Smith Cecil-Snowville, Clifton Todd Cecil-Snowville. Grandchildren- April Thornton Smith and husband, Canon Smith, Kevin Lee Thornton, Brandon Scott Cecil, and Bryan Andrew Cecil. Sisters- Marjorie Draper and husband, Ralph-Martinsville. Janie Dalton and husband, Doug-Hillsville. Sister-in-law- Markeatter Cecil-Draper Many Nieces and Nephews. Special Pet- “White Dove”.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday 11:00 A.M. May 14, 2013 at the Max Creek Baptist Church, Draper with Pastor Mike Coleman officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin. Visitation will be Monday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Max Creek Baptist Church. The family will be meeting at her homeplace.
