Cassidy, Kenneth H.

Kenneth (Ken) H. Cassidy accepted the call to his heavenly reward on Thursday November 20, 2014 at the age of 68. Ken was born on February 28, 1946 to the late Howard Franklin Cassidy, Jr. and Eleanor Mize Cassidy of Hampton, Virginia.

He is survived by one son, Wayne Cassidy of Salem, New York and one brother, Gene Cassidy of Smithfield, Virginia.

Ken was an inspiration to so many as he loved his Lord, and his friends whom he encouraged repeatedly. In spite of his physical handicaps, Ken pressed on to accomplish more than many with perfect health.

Special thanks to his church family at the Merrimac Pentecostal Holiness Church who loved and cared for him so greatly. To his doctors, nurses, and many friends, he wanted to say “Thank you and I love you.”

A special service will be held on Monday November 24, 2014 at 11:00 am in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Glennard Quesenberry officiating. Viewing and meeting with family and friends will be from 10 to 11 am Monday at McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Drive SW, Blacksburg, Va.
