Carter, Jr., James Hampton

James (Ton) Hampton Carter, Jr., age 64, of Radford died Sunday, September 6, 2020 at Lewis Gale Hospital-Montgomery. He was born in Christiansburg, VA on October 5, 1955 to the late James Hampton, Sr. and Helen Bolt Carter. He was a member of Restoration Faith Church.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years Sherry Keister Carter; son, Kevin James Carter and wife, Tanya; daughters, Joni Jones and husband, Landon, Sarah Beth Thompson and husband, Cody; grandchildren, Brantley Ray Thompson, Silas Wesley Jones, Serenity Rose Thompson; sisters, Robin Rogers, Jackie Albert, Tracey Brumfield; brothers, Joe Carter, Johnny Carter,; special friends, Donnie Lytton, Sam Jones, Wayne Ketch.

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at 1:00 pm in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Michael Casto officiating. Internment will follow in the North Fork Baptist Church Cemetery, Ellett. The family will receive friends and family from 12-1:00 pm on Wednesday. Arrangements by McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg.
