Carter, Doris Davis

Doris Davis Carter, 79, of Pulaski, died Wednesday night, October, 28, 2015, in the Pulaski Health and Rehab Center. She was born in Pulaski on March 14, 1936, and was the daughter of the late Charles Raymond Davis and Gladys Hinkle Davis.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Blake Carter; an infant son, Carter; daughters, Catherine Blake Carter and Doris Ann LaFavor; a son, Rodney Arthur Carter; brothers, Charlie Davis, Buford Davis and Samuel Douglas Davis; and by a sister, Shirley Vickers.

Mrs. Carter was a retired nurse.

Surviving are daughter, Suzette Carter; brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Karen Davis; grandchildren, Carter Ritenour, Susie Stevenson, Freddie Stevenson; great-grandchild, Dakota Blake White; several nieces and nephews.

The family will be receiving friends at Stevens Funeral Home on Saturday, October 31, 2015, from 5 to 7 p.m. There will be no funeral service at the funeral home and a private graveside service will be held later.
