Carter, Barbara Ruth

Barbara Ruth Carter, age 70, of Radford died, Wednesday, December 18, 2013, at Lewis Gale Hospital-Montgomery. She was born in Radford, Va. on April 4, 1943. She is preceded in death by her mother, Fannie Carter.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church since her early childhood.

She is survived by her son, Leon Carter, aunt, Thelma carter, of Galax, devoted cousins and caregiver, Sarah Carter, Rozetta Reed and David Morton, and a host of other cousins and relatives.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, December 21, 2013 at 12:00 noon in the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Corwin C. Casey and Rev. Jenene Lewis officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00-12:00 noon Saturday at the church.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Barbara Carter Burial Fund in care of McCoy Funeral Home 150 Country club Dr. SW, Blacksburg, Va. 24060.
