Page Leo Carroll, 82, of Blacksburg, died Wednesday, January 31, 2007, at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. He was born in Botetourt County, Va. on January 9, 1925 to the late John Henry and Nora Harper Carroll. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Virginia Epperly and Evelyn Layman; and one brother, Harley Carroll.
Page was a veteran of the European Theater during World War II serving in the U.S. Army. He was a longtime member of the Blacksburg Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Helen Hungate Carroll, of Blacksburg; son, Richard Carroll, of Covington; brother and sister-in-law, Allen H. and Doris Carroll, of Hot Springs, Arkansas; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, February, 3, 2007 at 11 a.m. in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Tommy McDearis, Dr. Don McKinney, and Mr. James O. Flaugher officiating. Interment will follow in the Westview Cemetery, Blacksburg. Friends may call anytime after 12 noon Friday, and the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday evening at the McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Drive, Blacksburg.
