Carroll, James David

James David (John) Carroll, 78, of Christiansburg, passed away March 6, 2010. John was a son to the late Frank Addison and Ethel Dobbins Carroll. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Aline Kessinger, and two brothers, James C. Quesenberry and Gordon Quesenberry. Mr. Carroll is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Vickie C. and Phillip Clauer; grandchildren, Ashley and Ryan Clauer, all of State College, Pa.; a caregiver and companion, Belva R. Sabo, of Christiansburg; a brother, Wilson “Speedy” Carroll, of Christiansburg; sisters, Betty Barlow, Valdosta, Ga., and Frances Vaughn, of Richmond, Va.; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, March, 8, 2010 at the Horne Funeral Service. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 9, 2010 in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
