Carrier, Lois Wheeler

Lois Irene Wheeler Carrier (Nanny), 92, of Fairview Avenue in Pearisburg, departed this life Wednesday afternoon, July 18, 2018 in the care of Country View Assisted Living in Peterstown, WV. Born in Lee County, VA on December 17, 1925, she was a daughter of the late Edgar Martin and Nevada Graham Cunningham Wheeler.

She was retired from the Celanese Plant at Narrows, had attended Radford University and attended Angels Rest Baptist Fellowship in Pearisburg.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Edward Carrier, her daughter Sharon Ros, her sister and brother-in-law Gene and Dorothy Graybeel, sister-in-law Hattie Wheeler and Glenn and Lena Carrier in-laws

She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter and son-in-law Rebecca and Franklin O’Dell of Pearisburg; her grandson and his wife Edward and Ashley Kendall O’Dell of Pearisburg; son-in-law Mario Ros of Canada; her grandchildren Ashley and Anthony Ros of Canada; her great-grandchildren Grant O’Dell and Reyna Ross; her brother Wayne Wheeler; her sister-in-law and her husband Glenna and Junior Childress; and several beloved nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be conducted Friday at 2:00 pm in Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg with Pastors Craig Whittaker, Fred Austin, and Eddie Kendall. The family extends heart-felt thanks to the staff at Country View Living in Peterstown for the excellent care given “Nanny” during her stay there.
