Carr, Judy Suttle

Judy Carol Suttle Carr, age 73, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, September 15, 2021, at the Carilion Giles Community Hospital in Pearisburg, VA. Born September 30, 1947, in Ballard, WV, she was the daughter of the late Sherman G. and Glenna I. Copeland Suttle.

Judy was a member of the Community Family Worship Center in Peterstown, WV, where she was an integral part in her husband Willis’ ministry. She had several jobs throughout her life, including a hairdresser and mail carrier for the USPS. She enjoyed working on crossword puzzles and reading. She loved her family, and being a grandmother was one of the greatest joys in her life.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by six brothers, Oscar, Dennis, Billy, Kyle, Freeman Dale, and Ivan Suttle; and two sisters, Leona Lane and Ethelene Canterbury. Those left to cherish Judy’s memory include her loving husband of 57 years, Willis Carr; four sons, Richard Carr and wife Margie of Burnet, TX, Bruce Carr and wife Melissa of Lindside, WV, Todd Carr and wife Jeana of Wikel, WV, and Scott Carr and wife Stephanie of Falls Mills, VA; one brother, Jackie Suttle and wife Sally of Millington, MI; sixteen grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held from 12:00PM until 2:00PM on Saturday, September 18, 2021, at the Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home in Peterstown, WV.

Funeral services will be held next Sunday, September 26, 2021, at 2:00PM, at the Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home Chapel in Peterstown, WV, with Pete Dunford and J.W. Ellison officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral.

In light of the recent COVID outbreaks in the area, it is highly recommended that those planning on attending the visitations and funeral services wear a mask and practice social distancing.
