Carden, Edna Dehart

Edna Dehart Carden, 89, passed away Monday, October 29, 2018 at her home in Christiansburg. She was retired from VA Tech and was a member of Fairlawn Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Nannie Dehart; her husband, Clarence E. Carden; and sister, Shirley Dehart.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Debbie Carden of Radford; daughter, Jennifer Newton of Michigan; grandchildren, Christopher Carden, Jason (Heather) Carden, Melissa Carden, and John (Sonya) Kien; great grandchildren, Hunter, Bailee and John, Jr.; brother and sister-in-law, Doug and Ginny Dehart; Sister, Doris Boitnott; and many other relatives and friends.

The family would like to give special thanks to her caregivers, Melissa and Allie Simpkins, and Breyanna Lytton.

The family will receive friends from 12 until 2 p.m. on Friday, November 2, 2018 at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford. Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. with Rev. Zane Cox officiating. Interment will follow in Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin.
