Shawn Hunter Callis, 13, of the Little Creek Community, Dublin, went to be with the Lord Friday, June 20, 2014. Shawn was a fun loving, outgoing and full of life young man who had lots of friends and enjoyed wrestling and track for many years. He was a rising eighth grader at Pulaski Middle School this fall, and especially loved spending time with his brother, Logan.

He was preceded in death by his father, Tracy Callis Jr.; a great-grandfather, the Rev. John Hash; and great-grandparents, Cecil and Edith Woodyard. Shawn is survived by his mother and stepfather, Sheila and Todd Morrison, of Dublin; a brother, Logan Callis, of the home; stepbrother Jacob Morrison, of Wytheville; paternal grandparents, Tracy (Barbara) Callis Sr., of Roanoke, Jane (Jack) Orr, of Troutville; maternal grandparents, James and Mary Hash, of Dublin; great-grandmother, Mary Hash, of Dublin; a special dog, Chloe; a special family member, Jock Songer, of Bastian; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

A memorial service is planned for 7 p.m. Monday, June 23, 2014, at The Refreshing Center, Bob White Boulevard, Pulaski, with the Rev. Jerry Collins and the Rev. David Butcher officiating. A visitation will precede from 6 p.m. until service time. A. Vest & Sons Funeral Home, White Gate, is in charge of arrangements.
