Mildred Frazier Caldwell, 86, of Pearisburg, went to her Heavenly home on Monday, September 8, 2014, after a short battle with cancer. She was born in Bluff City on April 2, 1928, and was the daughter of the late Josiah David (Sip) and Gertrude Blankenship Frazier.

In addition to her mother and father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Owen Caldwell; a brother, Arnold Frazier; two sisters, Norma Frazier and Genevieve Stegar; a brother-in-law, Joe Martin; and a sister-in-law, Geneva Frazier.

Mildred is survived by her daughter, Dreama Sue Caldwell of Pearisburg; a son, Claude (Eddie) Caldwell and wife, Rita, of New Castle; a grandson, Shawn Caldwell and girlfriend, Jennie Malone, of Blacksburg; a granddaughter, Heather Caldwell Johnston and husband, Joel, of New Castle; a great-granddaughter, Victoria Elizabeth Johnston of New Castle.

Also surviving are four brothers, Roy (Buddy) Frazier and wife, Margie, of Maryland, Billy Frazier and wife, Tina, of Roanoke, Jerry Frazier of Pembroke, and Lacy Frazier of Rich Creek; two sisters, Patty Martin of Narrows, and Loretta Turner and husband, Jimmy, of Narrows. Mildred also had many special nieces, nephews, neighbors and friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, September 11, 2014,in the chapel of Riffe’s Funeral Service in Narrows.Burial will follow in Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg. The family will receive friends at Riffe’s Funeral Service on Wednesday, September 10, 2014,from 6 to 8 p.m.
