Caldwell, Betty Baker

Betty Baker Caldwell, age 87, of Roanoke, died Tuesday, February 10, 2015. She was born on July 29, 1927 in Talcott, West Virginia to the late Lamar S. Baker and Hattie Miller Baker. The middle child of five, Betty grew up during the depression in West Virginia.

Betty is predeceased by her parents, two brothers and one sister. She suffered many great losses in her life. Her four sons, Douglas, Gerald, Robert and Randy and a grandson, Jason LaRue. Also her husband, James R. “Doc” Caldwell. She is survived by her daughter, Adrianna Lundquist (Bill) of Reno, NV., son, David Caldwell, Roanoke, seven grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, brother, James Baker. In addition to many nieces and nephews.

Betty will be laid to rest in the Westview Cemetery beside her husband and beloved sons. May you finally be at rest our beloved Mother. A memorial service will be held Sunday, February 15, 2015 at 2:00 pm in the Westview Cemetery, Blacksburg. Arrangements by McCoy Funeral Home 150 Country Club Dr., Blacksburg.
