Cahill, Esther Long
Esther Long Cahill, age 84, of Blacksburg died Tuesday, May 20, 2025. She was born in Blacksburg, Va. On March 14, 1941, to the late Archie H. and Dolly Graham Long. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Chuck Cahill.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Darrell and Karen Sheppard; daughter and son-in-law, Maleta and Randell (Beaver) Brillhart; grandchildren, Sierra (Ray) Woshner, Emily Strom, Jessi (Brittany) Carter, Craig (Katie) Brillhart, and Jessie (Doug) Williams; great-grandchildren, Lexie, Waylon and Wyatt; brother and sister-in-law, Maynard (Jeannie) Long; and special friend, Clyde Alexander.
Funeral Services will be held Sunday, May 25, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Keith Graves officiating. Interment will follow in Westview cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00- 2:00 P.M before the service.

So sorry to hear of Esther’s passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family. She was one of my favorite cousins. I’m sure she’ll be missed by all.
