Cahill, Billy Sunday

Billy Sunday Cahill, 92 of Pembroke, VA, departed this life to enter into his Heavenly Home, Thursday, April 2, 2020, in the care of Carilion Hospice and his family. Born September 14, 1927, in War, WV, he was the son of the late Watson and Maude Cambridge Cahill.

Billy was a skilled craftsman, having worked in the furniture industry and instrumental in building local churches of the Pentecostal faith. He was a member of the Pembroke Assembly of God.

Billy was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Virginia Merrix Cahill; and a son Mike Cahill.

Left to cherish his memory are his sons, Okie “Shiney” Cahill of Pembroke, and “Rocky” Cahill of Pembroke; daughters, Wanda Cahill of Pembroke, and Sandra Bates of Martinsville; grandchildren, Joseph Cahill, Richard Bates, Ambra Cahill, and Cathy Cahill; and great grandchildren, Clarissa Cahill, Cody Cahill, and Akaysha Bates.

There will be a graveside service on Tuesday, April 7, 2020 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Terry Eversole officiating in Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg, VA. Kendall Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be sent by visiting kendallfuneralhome.com.
