Cadden, Clare Marie

Clare Marie Cadden, 80, of Blacksburg, died on Wednesday, May 25, 2011, at Lewis Gale Hospital Montgomery. She was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., on January 19, 1931, to the late Charles and Mary Lewandowski Wulff. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America and The Catawba Valley Homemakers Association. She was a devoted volunteer to the Catholic Church and Schools. She is survived by her husband, William Cadden, of Blacksburg; two daughters, Mary Clare and Anastasia; five sons, William, Stephen, Michael, Kenneth and Thomas; nine grandchildren; and her brother, Raymond Wulff. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 28, 2011, in the St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Father Remi Sojka officiating. Interment will follow in the Memorial Gardens of the New River Valley, Blacksburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John Neumann Academy, 2470 Ramble Road, Blacksburg, VA 24060. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:30 p.m. on Friday evening, May 27, 2011, at McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg.
