Cacaroukas, Mary Fridas

Mary Fridas Cacaroukas, 105, of Blacksburg, Va., died Thursday, March 19, 2009 at Richfield Nursing Home. She was born in Chios, Greece on July 18, 1903. She was preceded in death by her husband, Steve Cacaroukas and by a daughter, Amalia Tselides and son-in-law, Leo A. Padis. Mrs. Cacaroukas immigrated to the United States in 1928.

She is survived by her daughter, Catherine C. Padis of Blacksburg; son-in-law, Dimitrios Tselides; grandchildren, Leo Padis, Steve Padis, Thomas Tselides and wife, Voula, Steve Tselides and wife, Johnna; great-grandchildren, Olivia, Dimitri, Alexa, Nicholas, and Maggie.

The family will receive friends 11 a.m. Monday, March 23, 2009 with funeral services at 12 p.m. in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel, 150 Country Club Drive, Blacksburg, with the Reverend Father Dean Nastos officiating. Private burial will follow.
