Byrd, Thomas Edward

Thomas “Tommy” Edward Byrd, 77, of Rich Creek, VA went to be with the Lord on March 4, 2022, at LewisGale Medical Center in Salem, VA. Tommy was born on September 25, 1944, in McDowell Co., WV and was a son of the late Rev. Howard Gale Byrd and Floy Gamble Byrd.

Tommy was a 1964 graduate of Narrows High School and was a member of the Rich Creek First United Methodist Church. Tommy was a long-time fixture in Rich Creek known walking his dogs and was loved by everyone.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 9, 2022, at the Givens – Riffe Funeral Chapel in Narrows, VA at 1pm with the Rev. Tom Conley officiating with burial following in the Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Rich Creek, VA.

Tommy’s family would like to thank all his friends who donated to his funeral fund.
