Butterworth, Mary Hall

Mary Hall Butterworth, 75, of Christiansburg, died Tuesday, March 27, 2012, at Heritage Hall Health Care. She was born in Roanoke on June 9, 1936, to the late Denton Roosevelt and Helen Beatrice Dallas Hall, and was preceded in death by one sister, Sarah Coburn. She is survived by her husband, George Lynwood Butterworth, of Christiansburg; one son, Terry Lynn Butterworth, of Christiansburg; two sisters and brother-in-law, Betty Jean Poff, of Salem, Doris and James Bailey, of Christiansburg; three grandchildren, Megan Butterworth, Nicholas Butterworth and Alec Butterworth; five nephews and one niece. Funeral Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, March 30, 2012, in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Neil Turner, the Rev. Richard Kingrea, and Mr. Bobby Fuller officiating. Interment will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association , Central & Western Va. Friends may call any time after noon on Thursday, and the family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Drive, SW, Blacksburg.
