Butterfield, Paul Howard

Paul Howard Butterfield, 38, of Christiansburg, Va., died on Sunday, February 1, 2009, at his home.

He is survived by his father and mother, Allen N. and JoAnne W. Butterfield, of Christiansburg; grandmother, Mildred Holland Wade; his children and their mother, Allen Michael Butterfield, Paige Nicole Butterfield and Amy Lynch, all of St. Charles, Mo. He is also survived by his sisters, Jessie C. Beard and Jennifer B. Cooper; uncle, Hugh G. Wade, of Raleigh, N.C.; aunts, Annie Mae Smith, of Renton, Wash., Florence Vail Bergum, of Poulsbo, Wash., and Gayle Butterfield, of Seattle, Wash.; cousin; Jason R. Taylor, of Christiansburg; and several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

The family will receive friends at The Horne Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 3, 2009, from 5 to 8 p.m. Holy Communion and a service for the Burial of the Dead will be held 2 p.m. on Wednesday, February 4, 2009, at The Church of Saint Peter the Apostle, 230 First Street, Christiansburg, with interment to follow immediately in Sunset Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to St. Peter Anglican Catholic Church, P.O. Box 6234, Christiansburg, Va. 24068.
