Bussey, Robert Kenneth

Robert (Bobby) Kenneth Bussey, 73, of Dublin, passed away Monday, March 3, 2008.

He retired from Radford University where he worked for 44 years doing masonry and plastering. He attended the Seventh Day Adventist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Donna Bussey.

Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Mitchell Bussey, of Dublin; four daughters, Barbara Robertson and Nancy Overton, both of Rocky Mount, Kathy Crissman of Altavista, and Joy B. Burton of Radford; a son, Richard Bussey of Blacksburg; a stepdaughter, Angela Hunt Carlile of Radford; a stepson, Dale E. Hunt of Dublin; two brothers, Jimmy Bussey of Roanoke and Billy Bussey of Waynesboro; two sisters, Patricia Lucas of Radford and Nita Browning of Pembroke; children’s mother, Judith Bussey; 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Memorial services will be held Friday, March 7, 2008 at 7 p.m. at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford, with Pastor Mike Hewitt and Pastor Vince McIssac officiating.

The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until the time of the service on Friday evening at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer’s Association Blue Ridge of VA Chapter, 2728 Colonial Avenue, Roanoke, VA 24003.
