Burton, Rowena Brumfield

Rowena Brumfield Burton, 74, of Pearisburg, Va., went to be with the Lord Thursday evening, April 5, 2007.

Mrs Burton was born on September 16, 1932, in Giles County, Va. and was a daughter of the late Willie and Bertha Mae Hilton Brumfield. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James (Jim) Sibold Burton; and a son, Robert Lee (Bobby) Burton.

Mrs. Burton is survived by three daughters, Birdie B., and husband, Doug Moye, of Pearisburg, Anna B., and husband, Alvin Holt, of Pearisburg, Betty Burton, of Pearisburg; one son, Jamie, and wife, Crystal Burton, of Rich Creek, Va.; one daughter-in-law, Tonya M. Burton, of Pearisburg; one sister, Beulah Mae Sanders, of Pembroke, Va.; one aunt, Gloria Martin, of Pembroke; and eleven grandchildren, Travis, Brandon and Brittany Moye, Eric, Jason and Adam Burton, Dustin Burton, Jacob and Zoe Burton and Kyle and Kelsey Holt.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, April 9, 2007 from the Givens Funeral Chapel in Pearisburg at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Eddie Kendall officiating. Burial will follow in the Burton Family Cemetery in Pearisburg.
