Burton, Giles Monroe

Giles Monroe Burton, 64, of Eggleston, departed this life at Carilion Giles Community Hospital. Born in Pearisburg on February 4, 1946, he was a son of the late Virginia Burton.

He had been employed in construction as a truck driver and enjoyed woodworking.

He leaves to cherish his memory his brother and sister-in-law, Darcy and Altheia Tate Burton, of Mechanicsville; his nephew, Christopher Burton; his niece, Julie Burton Moore; and his three great-nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 3 p.m. in the Kendall Funeral Home, 605 Snidow St., Pembroke with burial following in the Walker Cemetery at Eggleston.
